Measuring Guide

Sample room sketches:

TIPS:

• Measure the entire length of each wall from corner to corner. Please include overall wall lengths for each wall. We also need to know the length of all wall sections in your room(s). If there are doors or windows on the walls, please measure the distance from the corners of the room to the window or door and then the distance between them (see above).

• Be sure to include measurements and locations of the following, including height off the ground, width, height and depth, distance between (if applicable):

  -       Windows,

  -       Doors

  -       Built-ins

  -       Sconces, ceiling light fixtures

  -       Light switches

  -       Thermostats

  -       Air vents/returns,

  -       Baseboards

  -       Crown molding

  -       Electrical outlets (including floor outlets), etc.

  -       Ceiling height

  -       Dimensions of furniture you plan to keep

  -       Anything else you feel is relevant to the design of your space
