San Fran Digs: A rental you'll revel in

What if you could travel for work (or pleasure) and stay in a stylish, fully-furnished apartment? No time to sort through the hundreds of options on sites like Airbnb? I've got an answer for you. When you rent through Blueground, you can "rent beautiful, thoughtfully furnished apartments for a month, a year or even longer". They even have an app where you can track your trip and connect with members of their team. Pretty cool, right? I was able to design a unit for them in the home of Alcatraz and The Golden Gate Bridge. Check it out below!

They say San Francisco is one of the most European cities in the United States so I went with a Parisian-inspired design. I can't get over how amazing this Drop it Modern wallpaper looks on the long sofa wall - artwork isn't even needed! You do need a long wall to really capture it's beauty since the the horizontal width is 224". Also, I'm a sucker for a curved sofa, aren't you? This one is so Parisian and when paired with an oval marble coffee table, I just can't get enough.

Another favorite spot in this little SF hideaway is the dining area. A bold pedestal table is paired with modern Panton-inspired chairs in a bright white. I paired some Desenio pieces above the table, which against the white walls, look like they are in a gallery.

My current obsession? Jeanneret-inspired chairs. I used a caned armless accent chair with an upholstered armchair in the window (which makes for the perfect reading nook!) I love how the wood details warm up the space, don't you?

How great is it when you have ample amounts of natural light in your bedroom? We went with simple lines and lots of contrast for an ethereal yet bold look in this space. A channel-tufted headboard in a muted olive green was paired with neutral textures throughout for a crisp, modern look, reminiscent of a Parisian bedroom.

One of my favorite ways to style a dresser is by layering artwork and mirrors. Another top is to stack books and place a lamp on top. And you know how I feel about dried florals...
